HI! To answer you question, yes. I did have people looking at me strange when I told them I was juice fasting for 60 days, and I was given much “advice” from people that thought they knew what they were talking about. So I stopped telling people exactly what I was doing and just went along with my juice cleanse. It wasn’t until I finished and had my results that people then started to applaud and ask for my help with juicing or eating healthier. Both my parents and in-law’s were ALWAYS so worried about me and always nagging on how unhealthy it was. They are now in fact proud and astonished on how I changed my health and continued to eat healthy.
It can get expensive to switch to more produce and whole foods, especially when you’re used to fast food, or cheap, and very processed foods at the grocery store. Now if you are going out almost every day for lunch or dinner then it might just save you some money. I say it is better to invest in your health now then later on your health/medical bills. You don’t have to completely turn into a 100% health guru from one day to another. Start little by slowly incorporating or substituting healthier food options and eventually kicking your old habits of eating and welcoming a new eating lifestyle! It is going to be a process but at least you are willing to make that first step. Please do not get discouraged and hopefully you both will discover the amazing benefits of eating for your health and grow together as a couple into this new lifestyle :)
